Day 01: Arrival Cochin
On Arrival at Cochin Airport / Railway Station - You will be greeted by our representative and transfer to your hotel. A port town since early centuries, Cochin offers you some fascinating snippets of history and culture. Check in to Hotel at Cochin. Relax and unwind at the hotel. Today, go for an optional sightseeing tour to explore the many fascinating highlights of Cochin which include - The Jewish Synagogue in what is locally called the Jew Town, St. Francis Church which is the oldest European Church in India.
Overnight stay at Hotel / Resort at Cochin.
Day 02: Cochin – Munnar (130kms)
After breakfast check out from hotel. Drive to Munnar a hill station located 1600 meters above sea level through one a scenic landscape. En route visit to Cheeyappara and colorful flowers in Blossom Garden. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, rolling hills, picture postcard hamlets and undulating valleys. Check into your hotel and unwind yourself with nature so close. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Munnar
Post breakfast take a visit to Tea Gardens, Mattupetty Lake, Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Rajamalai (home to the endangered Nilgiri Thar mountain goat amongst others), Wild Life Sanctuary. Overnight stay in Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04: Munnar – Periyar (Thekkady) (100Kms)
After breakfast check out from the hotel. Visit the tea museum, take a short trip to the Eravikulam National Park or simply walk through the tea estates. Drive to Periyar an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Visit to Periyar Lake for animal sighting by boat cruise. Check into your hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 05: Periyar – Alappuzha (Aleppey) (164Kms) – Kumarakom
Breakfast and check out from hotel. Drive to Alleppey and embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or 'Kettuvalloms' are luxurious boats with well appointed bed rooms and en-suite bathrooms. The meals will be served in the boat itself. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the palm fringed landscape from your cabins. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it's the life along the backwaters that makes this a fascinating experience. Overnight on board.
Day 06: Aleppey – Kumarakom (30Kms)
After breakfast disembark from houseboat at Kumarakom. Kumarakom is famous for lagoon and backwaters. Transfer to Hotel. Check in and relax to unwind yourself. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07: Kumarakom
After breakfast visit to bird sanctuary. Kumarakom, one of the most popular and most beautiful backwater stretches of Kerala. An exotic picnic spot, Kumarakom provides boating, fishing and sightseeing experience that are truly exhilarating. An exclusive attraction here is the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which is an ornithologist’s paradise. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08: Kumarakom – Departure. (76Kms)
Check out from hotel and travel to Cochin Airport/Railway Station.
